Dr. Kowolik, Executive Associate Dean and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Global Engagement, planned to visit TUMS for the second time to follow up the collaboration between the two universities.

On July 31st, 2016 Dr. Kowolik and Dr. Chu met with Dr. Bayat, Dean and Dr. Khami, Vice-Dean for International Affairs of School of Dentistry, Dr. Nekoofar, director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking of the University, and Ms. Tania Azadi, Accreditation Senior Officer of TUMS to follow up the accreditation activities.

At the beginning of the session, Ms. Azadi provided the attendees with information about School of Dentistry and different programs that were running in the school as well as the statistics of international programs and students. Then she gave an introduction to the CODA which stands for The Commission on Dental Accreditation and performs the accreditation of dental schools and programs including advanced dental education programs and allied dental education programs and also explained the necessity of running of this program in TUMS.

Dr. Kowolik and Dr. Chu provided the audience with the details of this program and how it works and also the standards that must be met for getting accredited by CODA. Indiana University delegations also provided TUMS officials with their suggestions and recommendations.
