According to the report of, Public Relations of School of Medicine, this meeting was held on Tuesday, October 18^th, 2016, on the ninth floor of the central building of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). Dr. Emami, Dean of the  School of Medicine, welcomed the guests present at the meeting with members of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and expressed hope that the results of this meeting brightens the roadmap of Medical School.

After that Dr. Mirzazadeh, President of the Development Research Center of Medical Education  and Head of Department of Medical Education said there has not been any accreditation in the  School of Medicine till now and this is the first time that the members of WFME are coming Iran for the accreditation. 

He underlined that the main aim of the meeting and inviting the members of WFME is that we do a self- assessment based on international experts’ viewpoints. Dr. Mirzazadeh continued, we do not attempt to hide negative points in self-assessment process and we just want to make them (WFME members) familiar with the facts of medical education and School of Medicine.  

At the end, Dr. Emami, expressed the hope that the positive results and valuable opinions of WFME members will help us to clarify the next 10 years of Medical School.

It is worth mentioning that WFME members visited the Imam hospital, ziaiean hospital and Baharloo hospital.
