Yazd Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, which has been linked to the Secretariat for a while ago to begin its accreditation procedure, joined the list of applicant universities for international accreditation by registering on the website of the Secretariat of International Accreditation of Iranian Medical Sciences Universities. After registration, the secretariat called the university and consulted on the follow-up and continuation of the international accreditation procedure at SSU.

It should be noted that now by considering the related university, 14 medical and 1 non-medical universities have tried to receive international accreditation and improve the quality of the universities based on International standards. These universities include Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Urmia University of Medical Sciences, Fars University of Medical Sciences, Semnan University of Medical Sciences, Ahwaz Jondishapur University of Medical Sciences, Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Gilan University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, Kerman University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, University of social welfare and rehabilitation sciences, Hamedan University of Medical Sciences and Kharazmi University are as non-medical universities.
