A coordination meeting was held regarding conducting an internal evaluation of Semnan University of Medical Sciences (SemUMS) with the presence of internal inspectors on Monday, 9^th of April 2018 at the Secretary of International Accreditation of Iranian Medical Universities.

Due to the time of inspection of external evaluation, the internal visit of the related university is going to be carried out before the main inspection with the aim of simulation and preparation. The meeting began with an introduction of SemUMS’ efforts to do the self-assessment process. The meeting continued with the review of the evaluation plan at this university. The plan was explained by Tania Azadi and Sepideh Javedanfard.

Then Dr. Hassanpour and Dr. Hemmati discussed and exchanged information about the details of the internal evaluation and accreditation indicators. They recommended on more systematic internal evaluation of universities.

It is to say that this meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Gholam Reza Hassanpour, Director of the Office of Inspection; Dr. Ali Reza Hemmati, executive consultant of vice Chancellor for International Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Nekoofar, Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking; Ali Sayyadi, Senior officer; Tania Azadi; and Sepideh Javdanfard, Accreditation Officers at the Secretariat of International Accreditation of Iranian Medical Universities.

It is to say that this visit will be carried out by request of Semnan University of Medical Sciences and the main inspection will occur on May, 2018.
