The internal evaluation of SemUMS held on Wednesday, 2018/04/18 with the aim of simulating the evaluation model of the international accreditation systems. In the evaluation process, Dr. Gholamreza Hassanpour, director of the Office of Inspection and Complaints of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Dr Alireza Hemmati, executive consultant of Office of vice Chancellor for International Affairs, and Sepideh Javadanfard, representative of the Secretariat of International Accreditation of Iranian Medical Universities, were present.

This event began with the welcome message of Dr. Mehdi Shadnoush, Chancellor of SemUMS and then evaluators presented their evaluation plan. Next, Vice chancellors of education, research, management development and resource planning, student’s affairs and director of international relations of the related university reported on their performance in their related field.

This process continued by visiting of evaluation team from different spaces such as the central library of the university, lab, gym, dormitory, and medical and dental schools and the evaluators also noted the points through their visit.

Staff and students meeting were also held and they shared their opinion about their learning and working experience. Moreover, evaluators participated in an observation session of a class to see the points in line with accreditation indicators in teaching.

At the end of this meeting, Dr. Hemmati, on behalf of evaluation team, expressed the notes and recommendations raised by the group based on evaluation indicators. Dr. Shadnoush also appreciated the evaluation team for reviewing the points and count accreditation as an upgrade platform for SemUMS.

It should be noted that the main inspection of SemUMS will happen on May 19^th and 20^th, 2018.
