Deans of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing Schools at University of Kufa, paid a visit to Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), meeting TUMS Chancellor, Dr. Jafarian on 22 October 2014, and signed three MoUs with TUMS Schools of Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing and Midwifery.

A meeting was held on Wednesday, 22 Oct. with presence of Kufa delegation, TUMS Chancellor, Dr. Jafarian, Vice Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs, Dr. Arabkheradmand, Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking, Dr. Nekoofar, Director of International Relations Development, Dr. Shabani, and Vice Dean of International Affairs at TUMS School of Dentistry, Dr. Khami.
During the meeting, officials of both universities emphasized on expanding academic collaborations, considering the familiarity of each country with language and culture of the other as a facilitating factor.
Dr. Jafarian, also introduced TUMS as the first medical university in Iran adding that the university is ready to accept Iraqi students for PhD courses.
During their stay in Iran, the delegation visited TUMS School of Pharmacy and Tehran Heart Center. Furthermore, three MoUs were signed between TUMS and Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing Schools at University of Kufa.
