Dr. Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, Minister Responsible of Thailand's Ministry of Public Health, met with Dr. Ghazizadeh Hashemi, the Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Education, Dr. Karimi, Chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), and a number of ministry and university officials on Friday, March 9, 2018.

On Friday, March 9, 2018, a meeting was held between Dr. Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, Minister Responsible of Thailand's Ministry of Public Health, and Dr. Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Iran's Minister of Health and Medical Education. This meeting also saw the presence of a delegate from Thailand's Ministry of Public Health; TUMS Chancellor, Dr. Karimi; TUMS Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategie and International Affairs, Dr. Kordi; as well as a number of ministry and TUMS officials.
Held at TUMS National Museum of Medical Sciences History, this weekend meeting started with a presentation of Iran, Tehran, and Tehran University of Medical Sciences for the high-ranking Thai delegate. In detail, the university's capabilities and capacities regarding international student admission, internationa academic projects, and capacity building in the field of internatioanlization of higher education were explained.
Later on, the guests were given a complete tour of the museum and sat for work lunch with Dr. Ghazizadeh Hashemi.
In the end, the TUMS Crest, a gift given to the most distinguished international guests by the university, was bestowed upon Dr. Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn by the university Chancellor.
