Directorate of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Dr. Nekoofar had a meeting with the presiding board of School of Pharmacy at Hacettepe University in Ankara on 13 May 2014, discussing ways of making the previously signed agreement practical.
During the meeting which was held at Hacettepe University in Ankara, TUMS presence in Mevlana Exchange Program, which facilitates exchange of students and professors in short periods, was discussed. Based on the agreements reached in the meeting, the two universities are going to exchange Resume of their professors so that they can familiarize with research capabilities of each other and pave the ground for mutual collaboration. This way, any professor who is willing to take part in the Faculty Exchange Program can do the required arrangements with the related school in this regard.
Moreover, for the purpose of making students and professors aware of relationship between the universities, each school has agreed to put the logo and link of the other school on its website.
Prof. Bulent Gumusel, Head of Hacettepe School of Pharmacy spoke of the school’s readiness for hosting the PhD students from TUMS School of Pharmacy, saying that Hacettepe School of Pharmacy eagerly accepts Iranian students for conducting part of their research in laboratories of the school and also the relevant professors to supervise the experiments and to attend the joint scientific meetings.
In conclusion, Dr. Nekoofar presented some TUMS publications such as Fact Book and Prospectus to the Head of the School.
It is worth mentioning that Schools of Pharmacy at TUMS and Hacettepe University signed an agreement of mutual international collaborations in March 2014.
