The position of TUMS in new version of the Webometrics Ranking Reports
Tehran University of Medical Sciences improves its Position to 422nd in Webometrics Ranking system 2014.

 

New version of the Webometrics (Ranking Web of Institutions) report released. Webometrics assesses worldwide institutions twice a year with the main objective of promoting Web publication.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences improves its world position from 615th  to 422nd  in Webometrics Ranking System in July 2014 and is placed in 2nd position within the country, 9th in Region, and 77th  in Asia.

 

 

TUMS 6 Hospitals and Research Centers are also presented in Webometrics world report in Hospital web ranking with country ranks between 6th and 20th, including: Tehran Heart Center, Farabi Hospital, Digestive Disease Research Center of Shariati Hospital, Shariati Hospital, Center for Research & Training in Skin Diseases & Leprosy, and Hematology Oncology and BMT Research Center.

TUMS top hospital in this report is Tehran Heart Center with the country rank of 6th, world rank of 2353.

 

 

Iran’s five top universities in this International ranking system are: University of Tehran, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Tarbiat Modares University, and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences respectively.
 

 

The "Ranking Web of World Research Centers" is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain which was officially launched in 2008, and it is updated every 6 months (data collected in January and July. The Cybermetrics Lab, is devoted to the quantitative analysis of the Internet and Web contents specially those related to the processes of generation and scholarly communication of scientific knowledge.

The four indicators were obtained from the quantitative results provided by the main search engines as follows: Size, Visibility, Rich Files, and Scholar.
