In the latest report of NTU Rankings, Tehran University of Medical Sciences is ranked 114 in the world, and first, and the only ranked medical university within the country in pharmacology and toxicology subject rankings. TUMS is placed in 299th position in the world, and first within the country in 2014 clinical Medicine field rankings of NTU. 

The “Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities”is released by National Taiwan University. The NTU Ranking provides ranking reports in various categories including overall ranking, ranking by six fields, and ranking by 14 selected subjects. The aim of this ranking system is to evaluate academic performance by research universities in scientific research through the use of objective indicators.

This performance ranking was first published in 2007 by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT), which makes annual announcements on the top 500 universities.
