TUMS is the only medical university in Iran ranked in the 2015 NTU. For TUMS, the field of Clinical Medicine and the subject of Pharmacology & Toxicology are both enrolled in top 300 Ranking.

This performance ranking was first published in 2007 by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT). NTU ranking system evaluates the performance of scientific papers, and the indicators are designed to compare both the quality and quantity of scientific papers from each university. The NTU Ranking provides overall ranking, ranking by six fields ( Agriculture, Clinical Medicine, Engineering, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences ), and ranking by 14 selected subjects ( Agricultural Sciences, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering,  Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Environment/Ecology, Geoscience, Material Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Physics and Plant & Animal Science).
