Tehran University of Medical Sciences Jumps 20 Places Up in the Asian University Rankings 2020
In the latest Asian University Rankings of Times Higher Education (THE) University Ranking System, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) stands as the 109th University among the Asian Universities. TUMS is now the top Medical University in Iran, the 6th among the comprehensive and Medical Universities in Iran and the 109th Asian University. Following TUMS, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences with the rank of 114th؛ Iran University of Medical Sciences and Shahid Beheshti University of the Medical Sciences with the rank of 138th؛ Tabriz University of Medical Sciences with the rank of 166th ؛Isfahan University of Medical Sciences with the rank of 201_250th and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences with the rank of 401+th have taken the places after TUMS in the table.
THE University Ranking System is one of the most valid international ranking systems which started evaluating and ranking universities across the globe since 2004. In 2013, THE University Ranking System started ranking Asian universities annually in which it ranks 489 universities from 30 Asian countries.
The Ranking Methodology of THE Asian Rankings includes 5 indicators of teaching with the weight of 25%, research with the weight of 30%, citations with the weight of 30%, industrial income with the weight of 7.5% and international outlook with the weight of 7.5%.
40 Iranian Universities have been listed and ranked in the8th Ranking of the Asian Universities in 2020.
