Abstract(Please copy/pastethe abstract sending the congress) : Cosmetic results in a simple method for preputal skin defect repair
Background- Hypospadias is a common birth defect of the penis. Besides the abnormal position of the urethral opening there is usually a ventral preputal defect with preputal redundancy in dorsal shaft. There are many flap procedures for correcting this defect. Here we explain our experience about a procedure for skin coverage with a better cosmetic result.
Material &Method- It is a prospective study on patients with mid shaft to glandular hypospadias between June 2008 to December 2012. It was performed by one surgeon in two centers and cosmetic results were evaluated by parents and another pediatric surgeon. In this procedure inner prepuce incised curvilinear remaining 5 mm in medial and 8 mm in lateral aspects of the inner prepuce. And for skin repair dorsal flaps were approximated in midline in continuity of medianraphe.
Results- There were 63 patients with mean age 25.75 ± 8.46 (7-93 months) with mean 7.06 ± 3.34 (2-15 months) follow up. There were 4 complications. Overall satisfaction for penile skin coverage was 93.7% in parents and 98.4% in surgeons’ opinion. Patient age and primary site of meatus have a meaningful correlation with cosmetic results. (p values=0.01 & 0.005 accordingly) While urethroplasty techniques and post operative complications had little effect. (P value=0.195 & 0.135 accordingly)
Conclusion- Reapproximation of dorsal flaps in midline is a simple method and can be used in most cases of uncomplicated primary hypospadias. By this technique we can achieve a more near normal appearance.

Please make a note if there are any follow up actions we need to talk with the member of congress : I think there is no need for follow up action. Not related to this congress but as general : there are many famous European professors and attending who are really interested coming to Iran for helding workshops but because of many issues (for example safety and economical)they can't.If the university can do something that would be great!
For example professor Prem Puri from Ireland is very interested in coming to Iran.He has many works in different fields as :
Awarded several research grants over the past 30 years. 63 paediatric surgeons from overseas (Japan, China, UK, Israel, India, Sweden, Italy, France, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Trinidad, Spain and Chile) obtained travelling Fellowships from their parent institutions to come and work with Professor Puri at the Research Centre, since 1985.
Publications: 9 books/monographs, 105 chapters in textbooks, and over 470 articles in peer reviewed journals. The book on Pediatric Surgery published in 2007, has been translated in to Russian, Chinese and Turkish.
Presentations at International Scientific Meetings: 539 presentations at international scientific meetings including 113 at the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons, 32 at the Canadian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, 43 at the American Pediatric Surgical Association, 66 at the American Academy of Pediatrics and 99 at the Pediatric Surgical Research Society. And Iranian Association of Pediatric Surgeons is very interested to invite him for Annual Congress of Pediatric Surgeons in Iran(اردی بهشت 93)but the association has many economic problems.(like others!)And more than education his presence has many other benefit for presenting Iran training level in the world.
Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : Most awe full part was taking visa! after making many "connections"! I could get the Germany visa. And of course it cost me a lot! And the university didn't provide me any certification for presenting to the embassy(in spite of my request)
Meeting summary:(include: names of every one in attendance, outcomees and personal observatons of the metting, and please make a note if there are any follow up actions we need to take with the member of congress or their staff): : Of course I never remember the name of all attendance! But the positive point was that the few Iranian group were presented at the Praesidium of the European association of Pediatric Surgeons and their representatives gave a report about their evaluations about Tehran Universities Pediatric surgery centers. And they agreed for interchanging the residents according to high level of training in Tehran (Iran) universities. The congress was hold in Leipzig.Located in the east of Germany in between Berlin and Dresden, Leipzig enjoys one of the most diverse and vibrant city-flairs of its kind.

As a university town or a place of business and trade, as a city of leisure and nature as well as a cultural hub – Leipzig captivates its visitors and inhabitants every time anew with its wide range of possibilities. On ef the positive points of the congress was :"Young Investigator Award / Young Investigator Prize Session"

The EUPSA “Young Investigator Award” has been made to stimulate research in Paediatric Surgery. The prize will be to the value of € 5’000.00. If the presenter was a trainee.
