Circumstances surrounding injection initiation have not been well addressed in many developing country contexts. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among drug users. The population consisted of Drug users were admitted for inpatient treatment. Three Drug Treatment Centers in Tehran were selected by randomization. Participants were selected consecutively in every Drug Treatment Center. A total of 1000 drug users were included into this analysis. A structured questionnaire was used. A multiple logistic regression was employed to identify the independent effects from potential risk factors of transition into injection. Variables that were included in the initial and final multiple logistic models were based on statistical significance (p < 0.05) scientific importance. After controlling other covariates, being 25 years of age or older, single, higher education, urban residence, being unemployed, having a history of incarceration and lack of awareness about transmission ways of AIDS were significantly associated with higher likelihood of injection initiation. Smoking (99.4%) was very common. Multiple sex partners and an experience of sex abuse and engaged in prostitution were associated with an increased risk of injection initiation. Comparing to those whose first drug was heroin and Crack, individuals using opium as their initiation drug, Family injection drug use, friends, partners or schoolmates injection drug use had greater risk of injection initiation (p < 0.05). Age of drug initiation didn’t have a significant impact on the likelihood of starting injection. Understanding these factors will benefit the design of approaches to successfully prevent or delay transition into injection.
Key words: Risk factors, injection initiation, drug users, cross-sectional survey, Drug Treatment Centers

Please make a note if there are any follow up actions we need to talk with the member of congress :
It is not bad to talk with the member of congress for getting new information. We can have communication be mail ,call and letter. We can also transfer scientist information and data by sharing thesis with different professors from other countries. They like to know more about academic status in Iran universities. There were some key persons such

Above people are in a high rank position and they can give and help Iranian researchers. It is necessary to consider common language is English. maybe some people are not fluent in English and only can speak in native language but there are lots of common point s in scientific matters that they can transfer among others. These days mass media help researchers to be up to date and this is very important. All people have personal web sites and share research fields with people from different countries and Iran is not exception. during speaking with some professors it was very important they want to know about academic situation of Iranian women in Iran. In my opinion women have to participate more and more in these congresses and mangers are responsible make more facilities for women and motivate them .This congress will be every year in different American cities or countries in fantastic hotels.Registratin fee is expensive and costs are expensive too for Iranians. I think it is better to talk with congress managers to discount registration and accommodation fee for foreigners. Professors in universities like go to different countries to get more new information and get familiar with other culture and have academic relationship with other universities but somehow it is difficult for some of them. Tehran university has to have more advertisements about results of researches in its site and have more formal communication with other universities and link to different sites .
Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : This travel costs was so expensive (Ticket.accomodation,...)and taking visa had a long process.
Meeting summary:(include: names of every one in attendance, outcomees and personal observatons of the metting, and please make a note if there are any follow up actions we need to take with the member of congress or their staff): : This congress was useful and they had good relationship with attendances and many students were coordinator of this congress. It is not bad to talk with the member of congress for getting new information. This congress was held far from Chicago in a cozy place and with a good weather. The formal language was English but they had some facilities to translate from English to French ,Jerman,Chinisse and .... .there were some people who guide attendances to conferences rooms and show them guidelines for choosing an interesting presentations and articles. Posters were presented in define hours and days and they also can also use power point during posters presentation.
