Abstract(Please copy/paste the abstract send to the congress) : Impact of Toll like receptor 2 and 4 mRNA expression in renall allograft outcome
Sharbafi MH
Department of Immunology, School of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran.
Background : Toll-like receptors play a critical role in determining allograft outcome. TLR-2 and TLR-4 are frequently expressed on renal cells and their expression is up regulated following renal ischemia reperfusion and episodes of rejection. TLRs recognize both exogenous microbial components and endogenous molecules to promote immune response activation.
Method: TLR-2 and TLR-4 expression was analysed in 60 human renal allograft biopsies with commercial realtime taqman primer probe sets. From 60 samples 25 was acute rejection, 33 was chronic rejection and 2 was stable graft function.
Results: mRNA level of TLR2 was significantly higher in acute rejection while TLR-4 mRNA level was decreased. mRNA level of TLR-4 was significantly upregulated in chronic rejection. mRNA level of TLR4 were highly accurate in distinguishing AR from CR. TLR mRNA levels correlated to inflammatory parameters according to the Banff ’07 classification and to cellular influx.
Conclusion: The elevated mRNA level of TLR 2 in renal transplant biopsies of patients with acute rejection indicate a pro-inflammatory state, which may contribute to uncontrolled inflammation. TLR4 is markedly up-regulated in human chronic renal allograft rejection. Our data suggest a role for TLR2 & 4 during allogen-dependent graft damage after renal transplantation.
Keywords of your Abstract : Transplantation, Toll like receptor 2, Toll like receptor 4, Acute rejection, Chronic rejection.

Were the delegates of any other organizations present in the congress? : No
If yes, please write the names of the organizations in the box :
What were the responses to your talking points? Were specific questions or concerns raised? : Yes, they asked about our reaserch methods and equipments. and we talk and share our experience about how we can optimize our research protocols or matherials. also we talked about novel aspect of the our research and any othe elements that influence oure procedure.
If you met staff members, please list their full names & positions. : Folkert Kuipers, PhD
Professor of Pediatrics
Dean of faculty
Please inform us if there are any follow up actions we need to talk with the members of the congress : yes you can send our thanks to the comitee of the congress and mention them to send a letter of support to the embassy of congress country to facilitate the visa acceptance procedurs. because lots of the embassy dont make an appointment if your acceptance letter dosent send from congress to embassy.
Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : as you know we must to get a visa to travel schengen area, and its very important to make a embassy appointment at the early time before your travel. any travelers have to reserve hotel and give the statement of accomodation to agent of embassy.
Please give a briefing of your own observations and outcomes of the congress: : its very good experience to make a travel through the studentship time of your university education and discover or experience other cultures and meet othe countries student and professors of universities to make a connection and share the experience. when you travel to another country you can find lots of students and specialists of your research field, so , you can enlarge and share your experience. at the congress you observe any different kind of research fields and it can awaken your intrest to form new hypothesis or research idea.
all together the international congress lead you to try new ways of research and also you can meet any peopel all over the world to share and learn lots of experiences.
