I presented my research results entitled "Cumulus Cell Role on Mouse Germinal Vesicle Oocyte Maturation, Fertilization, and Subsequent Embryo Development to Blastocyst Stage In Vitro" orally. There were only 8 minutes for presentation and about 3 minutes for question. About 75 scientists were participated in my presentation hall. So, they had some questions and comments about my research methods and results. As you know the time is restricted and the challenge time is about 3 minutes. So, I tried to reply them. Also, after presentation time, a researcher from India had some ideas about my work. Anyway, I think it was good opportunity to me which I present my research there. |

About Congress Participation and presentation: Recently the organization committees of congresses works ideally and near to 5 to 10 years before the congress time the researchers know the congress place. So, they organize themselves to participate in congress in good manner. This was the biggest congress, which I have participated in it. So, it is better that, I give some information about congress situation. About 2 weeks before of congress days, they announced to participant’s that, you can put your presentation in congress site. So, near to 80 percent of participant’s paper were presented before congress starting date. I think, it is new method for presentation and it make possible to you, using of other ….
About Congress Place: It was established in Vancouver, one of the beautiful cities in the world. The Vancouver city has a congress center by the name of Vancouver conventional center. This center was located in the center of Vancouver (Down Town). The Congress center had a big main hall. More than 3000 scientist could sit there and listen to presenter. About 6 big halls (The place for at least 500 people) they had for other presentation. Also, they had near to 100 other halls (for about 75-100 peoples). So, different topics have been demonstrated in halls every time. So it was possible to you to choose the topics in your field of researches. Therefore, they had good organization and qualified peoples for administration and arrangement of congress. The main hall was for many famous scientists who were well-known researchers in the world in the field of Gynecology, Obstetrics, reproductive biology, midwifery and related nursing. |

Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : |
Unfortunately, Tehran University of Medical Sciences does not have any organization to do help us for providing of VISA, tickets, and arrangement of the accommodation. So, for doing this procedure we must to give more time. Specially, about the countries same to Canada and USA, they do not have any Embassy in Iran, so we need more time and more money to preparation of VISA from these countries. We need to trip to other neighbor’s country for obtaining the VISA, For Example Turkey, Dubai and so on. For VISA preparation at first you must to apply online to Canadian VISA office. It takes so long time to do the procedure of VISA obtaining. Also, the ticket purchasing is big problem to us. Because, many of air lines do not have good relationship with Iran. So, we must to prepare ticket from restricted air lines with more than 2 or 3 stops. For this tenacity, you must to pay more money and more time.
Also, accommodation (Hoteling) preparation is big problem. Since, you can’t pay money by appropriate card. Similarly, the hotels fee is too high and it is not appropriate with basic scientist salary.
Likewise, for on time registration we need VISA Card or Master Card. If can’t pay registration fee on line, you must to pay more money for registration on site.
In the other hand, we need to present our works in advanced countries comparable USA and Canada. So, the researchers need more support to do this procedure.
So, I recommend to research affairs of TUMS to have a department for doing some helps in University. Also, the research affairs peoples must have good relationship with Ministry of foreign affairs about their academic staffs for doing some official procedure easily. |

As I mentioned in above sections, the FIGO congress was the biggest congress which I have participated since. More 6000 researches participated in it. It was different for me from all of the view. Furthermore, this was the first time I have participated in a congress at North America. Thus, the distance from Iran to Canada was too long and we had 2 stop in our trip, One in Bahrain and the other in Amsterdam. Therefore, in this situation I was been confused and the physiologic problem about my sleeping time I had. The congress participants were there from all of the 5 mainland countries (Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UK, Germany, USA, Brasilia, Australia, Togo, and Nigeria and…). From Iran about 10 researchers (Yazd, Shiraz, Kermanshah…) were attend in this congress. On the other hand, from China and India the participant’s numbers were too high. Similarly, from South America many participants attended there. Besides, the city which congress established in it was the beautiful one in the Canada and may be in the world. The congress place was established in Vancouver conventional center (in down town) attached to Stanly Park. This park is so beautiful and is one of the famous one in the world. In the congress program, they had the entire field related to Female Anatomy, Embryology, Histology, women health alike to women diseases, Perinatal and postnatal problems, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Reproductive Biology, Midwifery, Nursing, Ethics, not developed countries problems related to women and so on. In the beginning ceremony (4. Oct. Afternoon), they had welcoming program and the President of FIGO Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran, Abdul Aziz Yahya FIGO’s 2015 Organization Committee Chair; and Joana M. Cain FIGO’s 2015 Scientific Program Committee Chair had a brief welcoming presentation. Congress presentations principally started from 5, Oct. 2015. There was a main hall for most important invited Dr. and Scientists. Correspondingly, in parallel more than 50 presentations in different field of gynecology, prenatal and postnatal complications you could attend. However, it was depended to your field of work and research. About the presentation halls I write before this in above sections. Also, the exhibiting hall was too big and it was involved to poster hall. In every session of poster presentation more than 400 posters they had demonstrated. All of the famous companies from USA, Canada, UK, Netherland…and some publishers in the related fields of women, prenatal and postnatal were participated there.
