Objectives: There has recently been much debate about the influence of social capital on the oral health outcomes. The aim of the present study was to etermine the association between social capital components, residency in neighborhood and the number of teeth.
Methods: In 2011, a cross-sectional survey was performed within all 22 districts, by municipality of Tehran, URBAN HEART survey. A questionnaire served as the tool to measure social capital in randomly selected clustered subjects
(n=4231) within households. Social capital questionnaire included six categories of participation, voluntary help, sense of community, social network, trust, norm reciprocity; All were measured in nine layers from close family member to other groups. The responses were based on Likert scale. To measure the number of natural teeth all participants were asked to count their both jaws teeth by themselves. Residency in neighborhood was categorized from less than 2 years to more than 20 years. Descriptive statistics, linear regression model were used. P-values <0.01 were considered as significant.
Results: Among all social capital components only social network has significant association with number of teeth and the residency in neighborhood also was statistically significant. Conclusions: Network of social interactions and personal relationships in those who live longer in a place, can be related with more number of natural teeth.

Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : Application for Korean visa was very simple without any problem. Unfortunately, we do not have a direct flight to South Korea from Tehran. For this reason, it was a long journey with its problem. Korea is an expensive country for life. For this point all expenses such as accommodation, food, and transportation are expensive for us. However, Korea is a high technology country and we had a good experiences about it. We had a visit from dental school in Seoul. it was a very good experience for me, I had a good discussion with academic members about their curriculum. we visited all departments, dental hospital and dental school. I prepared a complete report for my colleagues.
Please give a briefing of your own observations and outcomes of the congress: : International association of dental research (IADR) is one of the biggest dental association for research in the world. For this reason, in their annual meeting many researchers and dentists participate. The presenters report their research in all field in dentistry. The stem cell, quality of life, cancer, cariology were some common topic of research in the IADR meeting. As I told we had a visit from dental school and dental hospital in Seoul and I learned a lot of things about dental curriculum and programs according to my discussions with responsible staff in Seoul dental school.
