TITLE: MOM of prefrontal space ratio in Iranian euploid fetuses
AUTHORS (FIRST NAME, LAST NAME): Vajihe Marsoosi1, Noushin Mohamadi2
INSTITUTIONS (ALL): 1. Perinatology Dept, Shariati Hospital, Tehran, Iran (the Islamic Republic of).
2. Obstetrics & Gynecology , Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, Kermanshah , Iran (the Islamic Republic of).
ABSTRACT BODY:
Objectives: To evaluate the MOM of prefrontal space ratio in 16-24 weeks euploid Iranian fetuses.

Methods: In a prospective observational study utilizing 2D images of 16-24 weeks euploid fetal faces that were recorded during prenatal ultrasound examinations at the Perinatology Department of three university based Hospitals of Tehran University of Medical Sciences , 200 euploid fetuses between 16and 24 weeks gestation were examined. A line was drawn between the leading edge of the mandible and the maxilla and extended in front of the forehead. The ratio of the skin(d1) to the distance between the skin and the point where the MM line was intercepted (d2) was calculated(d2/d1). MOM of PFSR in Iranian euploid fetuses and their relationship with gestational age was calculated.

Results: The MOM of PFSR in euploid female fetuses was 1.07 and in male fetuses was1.10. Multiple regression analysis showed that PFSR ratio was independent of maternal and gestational ages.

Conclusions: Ethnic differences in MOM of PFSR should be considered when incorporating the PFSR in fetal aneuploidy screening in the Iranian population.
Keywords of your Abstract : Aneuploidy markers, Screening, Fetal anomalies, Craniofacial.

If yes, please write the names of the organizations in the box : Figo, Asum.AIUM, ACOG, RCOG
What were the responses to your talking points? Were specific questions or concerns raised? : It was interesting for them, because Iranian MOM of prefrontal space was calculated with a standard model. The method of measurement was correct, the analysis was powerful.
If you met staff members, please list their full names & positions. : Professor Paladini
Professor Timmerman
Professor Depress
Please inform us if there are any follow up actions we need to talk with the members of the congress : We talk with Professor Depress about establishing Fetal surgery Unit in IRAN, Tehran University of Medical Sciences are going to equipped with fetoscopy in the few months so we need somebody to help us to begin work with us in this field. He promised that will come in the case of TTTS and Lazer photocoagulation of anatomists and we can attend the courses in the Europe and get training in this field.
Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : Getting visa was a major problem, paying registration fee and hotel booking was difficult as well because we do not have visa card
Please give a briefing of your own observations and outcomes of the congress: : It was very informative in my field, Fetal anomalies. My work are focused in ultrasound in fetal maternal medicine since 1383 in Tehran University of Meical Siences , We did not have ultrasound education in residency curriculum when I was resident and I try to learn Fetal sono by travelling to developed countries and observing fetal echo for a long period of time , and studied many books in this field, and attending this congress since 2001 every year. This year there was new application of ultrasound in combination with lazer in the diagnosing septicemia and 3D and 4D application in diagnosis of mullerian anomalies instead of HSG.
