Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) prepares a celebration on Christmas for TUMS Christian international students.

TUMS prepared a Christmas tree for our Christian students at their dormitory and planned a dinner event to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas day 2012.

In some ancient text Christmas tree has been linked with Mithra, god of light in ancient Iran. The use of evergreen tree in Christmas festivities comes later, from Germany where it was used in worship and celebration of yule as well as in observance of the resurrected sun god.

We celebrate Christmas as a day where Jesus Christ was born.
