The number and diversity of the specimens evaluated in the hospitals are unique in the country and region. The residents rotate in both clinical and surgical pathology divisions such as biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, parasitology, immunology, blood and tissue bank, flow cytometry, molecular pathology, general surgical pathology, hematopathology, nephropathology, electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry, gynecopathology, dermatopathology, head and neck pathology, pediatric pathology, ophthalmopathology and transplantation pathology. The residents along with the faculty members also take part in a myriad of conferences including, but not limited to, case presentations, journal clubs, tumor boards and mortality conferences.
