According to Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Hessabi, he spent about a year studying, researching, designing and calculating the machine alongside Professor Jean, Professor Michel, his professors at the Superior French Polytechnic, his electrical engineering school in Paris, as well as the guidance given by Professor Fabry, his professor at the Sorbonne. The Department of Radiology has 41 faculty members and 124 residents.
Imam Khomeini complex is the most important radiology center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and includes the Imaging Center, a Central Hospital, Cancer Institute, and Vali-e Asr Hospital.
Special divisions in other related hospitals are also available, as well as Women’s imaging in Meraj, Arash and Yas hospitals, pediatric radiology in Children’s Medical Center and Bahrami Hospitals, ENT imaging in AmirAlam hospital and also imaging centers in Razi and Farabi hospitals.
Advanced Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Research Center was founded in Medical Imaging Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in summer of 2009. Iranian Journal of Radiology published more than 710 articles in 51 issues from Iran and overseas the impact factor of Journal is 0.554 in 2016.
In recent years, 3 international residents are accepted for education in Tehran University.
