Directorate
Overseeing the daily activities of the Office of International Admissions, Department of Student Affairs, Department of Consulate and Visa Affairs, the International Development Studies Group, Department of Public Relations, and Department of International Marketing and Advertisement, the Office of the Director of International Affairs and Development acts as the focal point that determines the principle policies of its subsidiary divisions and coordinates interdepartmental activities and relations.

International Admissions
TUMS Office of International Admissions is the mechanism through which international students can commence their studies at TUMS. The main responsibilities of this office include coordinating admissions affairs, establishing and maintaining necessary communications with TUMS schools and departments, handling all correspondence with applicants, managing and evaluating applicants’ documents for Primary Review Council and TUMS Admissions Committee, and coordinating the activities of admission committees.

International Student Affairs
The Department of Student Affairs is the main body which receives and handles needs and activities of TUMS international students. The main areas of responsibility pursued by this department include managing the registration of international students, coordinating student orientation programs, verifying documents for international students, conducting student surveys, maintaining necessary communication with international students, and attending and addressing the daily needs of students in various circumstances.

Consular and Visa Affairs
As the name suggests, this department is the referral focal point for all affairs related to student visas or consular activities. Among the top responsibilities, we can refer to undertaking visa-related activities and managing such processes to acquire visa for international students and guests, processing foreign TUMS guests’ proposal, and receiving and accompanying foreign TUMS guests’ on their visits.

International Development Studies
The International Development Studies Group takes a scientific approach to the development and management of higher education in the international tertiary education landscape. Studying and conducting research on different topics, this research and development group undertakes projects to study current policy trends in line with the objectives of the Directorate of International Affairs and Development.

International Marketing and Recruitment
The International Marketing and Recruitment Division aims to place TUMS on the map through utilizing current advertisement opportunities and identifying and developing potential markets. The activities of this division include designing and printing advertisement publications, producing online and digital advertisements, preparing and holding events and ceremonies, maintaining the TUMS GSIA website, handing TUMS social media, conducting email and web marketing, observing current developments and trends in international higher education settings, preparing research papers on concepts and issues in international higher education for different conferences, and handling the affairs of TUMS Agents.
