On March 4th, 2019 the closing ceremony of first sport olympiad was held in shahid Chamran coplex by presence of Dr. Kordi as the deputy of international affairs, Dr. Pour-Gharib, Head of Physical Education Department, and other figures of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, University of Iran, Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran University, Sanati-Sharif University and Sanati Amir-Kabir University were present.

In the first part of the ceremony, referees of the first Futsal Tournament of Foreign Students’ consortium for top ranking universities of Iran were given presents.

The Futsal matches started in February 28th. Iran University of Medical Sciences topped the tournament and harvested the gold medal, Tehran University of Medical Sciences the runner-up and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Science the third. Medals were awarded to them.

The next part of the ceremony was dedicated to giving medals to female students who competed in 3 sports; Physical Readiness, Darts, and Chess.

Jei Song, topped the Physical Readiness competitions and Nazanin Karim Mahmoud the runner-up while Mansoureh Fazelian became third all from Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

The gold medal in Darts women competitions was awarded to Mahak Manzoor, the silver medal to Razie Bashir and the bronze medal to Kashima Naghavi all from Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

Sanati Sharif University representative Fateme Azimi topped the Chess competitions while Salsa Bila and Fatima Mostafawi from Tehran University of Medical Sciences ended the runner-up and the third place.

Male competitors who championed in Physical Readiness, Chess, Table Tennis, Table Football, and Swimming were also given medals.

Mohammad Sani Sheibo the champion and Jamiwa Folabi the runner-up in Physical Readiness from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Mojtaba Danesh from Tehran University harvested the bronze medal. However, Chess competitors handed in the first place to Mohammad Mohammad Hoseini, the second place to Mohsen Barbari and the third place to Mohammad Al-Mamoori from Tehran University and Sanati Amir-Kabir University.

Table Tennis Winners were Kabir Ozigi Abdolahi, the champion, Seyed Mobashe Hosein, the runner-up, both from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Mojtaba Momeni, the third place, from Tehran University. Davood Shebly from Sanati Amir-Kabir University won the first place in Table Football, Javad Heyday Ahmad from Tehran University of Medical Sciences became second and Mohammad Hosein Abbas from Sanati Amir-Kabir University won the third place.

Marco Borta and Yamin Al-Nader from Tehran University of Medical Sciences won the first to third place in 50 meter backstroke and 50 meter breaststroke and Vali Mohammad Wadid from Sanati Amir-Kabir University along with Tadse Belke Tafse from Tehran University of Medical Sciences won the second and third place in 50 meter backstroke.

50 meter freestyle second and third winner was Yamin Al-Nader from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Mehdi Mojir from Sanati Amir-Kabir University. For 50 meter breaststroke, Marco Borta and Ibrahim Aliq from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Sanati Amir-Kabir won the second and third place.

The first sports Olympiad for foreign students’ consortium for top ranking universities was held between February 28th to March 4th, 2019 with the help of Office of Vice Chancellor of International Affairs and Department of Students and Culture. Female and male students from 5 reputable universities of Iran consisting University of Iran, Tehran University, Sanati-Sharif University, Sanati Amir-Kabir University and Shahid Beheshti University as guest participated in this event.

Almost 140 foreign students from 15 countries and 3 continents took part in the first sports Olympiad for foreign students of top universities of Iran.
