IAUSDJ has been established more than 30 years ago with providing high-quality, career-relevant education in a diverse range of fields through innovative courses, excellent teaching and state-of-the-art facilities.
Today, with about 14000 students, IAUSDJ is the largest university of the Kurdistan province. Providing practice-oriented, career-relevant education in short and intense courses of study leading to accredited bachelor, master and PhD degrees are some of the most valued aspects of study and teaching in IAUSDJ.
All IAUSD educational programs have been designed to meet requirements of the Kurdistan province people in agriculture, architecture, engineering, nursing, basic and social sciences fields by training students with high-level professional practices. Study and teaching support and challenge the development of innovative ideas of IAUSDJ students.
Research activities are one of the important missions in IAUSDJ. Research unit has provided many facilities to accomplish these activities. High-tech lab instruments such as GC-MS, GC-FID, FT-IR, double beam spectrophotometers, real time PCR and so on have been purchased and assigned in related laboratories. Existence of 80 equipped laboratories in different fields and more than 300 academic members lead to good research output.
IAUSDJ managed a lot of corresponding projects in different fields by highly expertise academic staff. The output of the research projects has been published in various international journals and used by related agencies in Kurdistan province.
IAUSDJ is ready to cooperate with international organisations to do innovative educational and research projects with regard to very good human resources. IAUSDJ is also ready to support dissemination of project results.
IAUSDJ expert staff member will be trained on developing Training Material on use ICT in education through mutual visit to EU partners.
IAUSDJ will equipped smart class room in four different disciplines for the implementation IAUSDJ Staff member will be trained on use ICT and LMS in education and deliver learning objects to be uploaded at the educational portal.
Also IAUSDJ will participate in the dissemination, exploitation, and in the quality assurance of the projects.

Dr. Borhan Shokrollahi
OPATEL Project manager in IAUSDJ
Graduated in Animal Breeding and Genetics (Molecular Genetics) in 2010 (PhD). Currently, He is involved as a full time lecturer in Sanandaj Branch, Islamic Azad University (IAUSDJ) since 2005. He has authored several research papers in national and international congresses. He also has published many papers in high impact international and national journals. He has successfully supervised 35 MSc thesis projects. He has selected as superior researcher of the university in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016. He has worked with several national research institutions as a research member and has some very good scientific ideas in his field and ready to make joined national and international researches.

Dr. Issa Mohammadi
A PhD of mathematics and an assistant professor at IAUSDJ. He has been teaching different mathematical courses in mathematics, engineering, economics, management, accounting, agriculture and so forth for more than 17 years. He also has a long standing interest in functional analysis and cosmology. Having had some publishes in different ISI journal such as Fixed Point Theory and Filomat, he has recently presented a mathematical proof for the possible source of dark energy that can be an answer for the mysterious question of the origin of dark energy, https://arxiv.org/abs/1704.04430. He has also taken part in many national and international conferences.

Dr. Amir Sheikhahmadi
He is an assistant professor of computer engineering in the School of Engineering at the Islamic Azad University of Sanandaj. He received his BSc in software engineering from university of Isfahan in 2002. Amir received his Master of software engineering from Sharif university of technology in 2007 and PhD degrees in software engineering from the University of Isfahan in 2016. His main research interests include social network analysis, data mining and big data.
