Tehran University, Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Amirkabir University of Technology ranked the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
According to this ranking, Universities are ranked and categorized into 5 distinct groups namely Universities and Research Centers of Ministry of Health, and Medical Education, Universities affiliated with Ministry of Science Research and Technology, Technical Universities, Research Centers and Art Universities.
In addition to the overall ranking, universities are given scores for 5 main criteria as education, research, international profile, facilities and socio-economic impacts.
