A delegation from Bulgaria, Medical University-Plovdiv paid a visit to School of Dentistry at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), on May 3rd, 2016.
During the meeting in which Excellency Ambassador of Bulgaria Mr. Christo Polendakov, Dr. Shabani directorate of International Affairs and Development and Ms. Mohammadian TUMS International Relations Officer, Prof. Maria Kukleva Vice Rector of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Evgeniya Ivanova-Betselova Head of Students’ Affairs Department were present, Dr. Khami, Vice Dean for International Affairs of TUMS School of Dentistry welcomed the Bulgarian delegation and gave a brief presentation of the school’s majors and departments.
Prof. Kukleva expressed her appreciation for the opportunity of visiting TUMS and introduced University of Plovdiv in brief. She also considered the similarity between majors, departments and degrees of the two universities as an occasion for starting academic collaborations. She also mentioned that University of Plovdiv has 5000 students, one third of which are international students studying mostly at the faculty of medicine.
Moreover, a Memorandum of Understanding between TUMS School of Dentistry and Faculty of Dental Medicine of Medical University -Plovdiv was signed.
