On 23 July 2016, a delegation from Universita Degli Studi Di Genova headed by Dr. Angelo Musaio, Head of International Relations Service had a meeting with Dr. Nekoofar, TUMS Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking, Dr. Monzavi, Head of Dentistry Research Institute, Dr. Shahbi, Head of Laser Center of the Institute and a number of other officials.
During the meeting both parties emphasized on establishing academic collaborations mainly joint and double degree programs, and further research. Dr. Nekoofar also highlighted having an action plan for the agreement and encouraged both parties to produce joint publications.
Afterwards, Dr. Angelo Musaio and Dr. Nekoofar explained about various issues in details including curriculums of the two universities, various Erasmus plus projects both universities are involved in, simulation labs and equipment at TUMS schools of Dentistry and Medicine, etc.
At the end of the meeting, an Academic Cooperation Agreement was signed between Universita Degli Studi Di Genova and Dentistry Research Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
