Accreditation Standards

To gain or maintain accreditation with the accreditation institution an institution must comply with the standards contained in the accreditation institution guidelines. Areas of operation which are the subject of evaluation with standards include:


A - Premises and health and safety

B – Management and staff resources

C – Learning and teaching: course delivery

D – Quality assurance and enhancement

E – Student welfare

F – Awards and qualifications

G - Marketing and student recruitment

H – Compliance with local authorities’ regulations and reporting mechanisms


In each area there are given standards in higher education. Universities and higher education institutions are required to adopt themselves with these standards. Different accreditation organizations might have slightly different indicators/ standards but much of them are discussing the same point.
