The Department of Sports and Exercise Medicine includes 9 academic staff in three hospitals: Imam Khomeini, Sina and Shariati. This department now serves as FIMS (International Federation of Sports Medicine) collaborating center of sports medicine. Also, it has efficient collaborations with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Iranian Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (IASEM).
