Abstract(Please copy/paste the abstract send to the congress) : Enhance Learning and Critical Thinking through Innovative Teaching
Mahvash Salsali, PhD, Professor,
Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery,
Tehran, Iran

Preparing students to be critical thinkers is essential in today's complex health care environment. Both organizations and individuals profit from learning and the ability to create value. Critical thinkers as well as high-value individuals have the ability to solve problems, make good decisions, and to create profitable ideas.
Critical thinking refers to thinking that is disciplined, purpose driven, goal directed and objective. With a practical emphasis, the definition is further defined to “using your brain to create value for you and your organization.” Students use critical thinking elements of thought to figure out difficult questions and recognize that their thinking could be flawed or limited by lack of in-depth understanding of the problem at issue therefore; they critically monitor their thinking to ensure that their thinking meets the standards for intellectual thought.
The purpose of this presentation is to describe the utilization of innovative teaching (simulation)as a strategy for learning, critical teaching, and enhancing professional skills.
