Introduction: Pancreatic cancer (PC) is a deadly disease with a 5-year survival of less than 5%. Worldwide PC incidence rates are lower among women than men. While this suggests a protective role for steroid hormones in PC risk, results from epidemiologic studies are not consistent.
Methods: Hazard ratios and 95% confidence intervals for reproductive factors and PC were estimated using Cox regression methods in a prospective case –control study. A total of 153 new incident PC cases and 202 controls were both recruited in the study from a referral center for endoscopic ultrasound between 2011 and 2016. A structured valid and reliable questionnaire was used for data collection by trained interviewers.
Results: Mean age (SD) of cases and controls were 65.2 (11.4) and 64.8 (11.8) years respectively. Age at menarche, age at menopause, number of parity, gravidity and abortion were not associated with PC risk.
Conclusions: This study does not support for the hypothesis that menstrual and reproductive factors are associated to PC risk.

What were the responses to your talking points? Were specific questions or concerns raised? : because the data and its results were clean , no specific question were raised.
IT WAS STRAIGHT FORWARD and questions usually were about review literature regarding our result. A suggestion was to communicate with relevant consortium to make data pulling and meta-analysis. A nested case-control study of primary incident pancreatic cancer within the EPIC cohort was conducted to investigate genetic susceptibility. This nested study included EPIC cases and controls (men and women) who were part of a larger ge-nome-wide association study (GWAS) of pancreatic cancer conducted in the pancreatic cancer cohort consortium (Pan-Scan). For each primary incident pancreatic cancer case, approximately one control who was alive and cancer-free at the time of diagnosis of the index case was matched on age (66 months), sex, study center, date and time of blood collection, fasting status and exoge-nous hormone use (women only). The total number of pan-creatic cancer cases in the nested study was 324 (161 women and 163 men), and the total number of controls was 353(174 women and 179 men). With the possible exception of age at menarche, none of the menstrual and reproductive factors we analyzed in this study were statistically significantly associated with the risk of pancrratic cancer. Having an early age at menarche (<12years) was associated with an increased risk of pancreatic cancer ,but this statistical association was only marginally significant With the exception of quintile 3, total cumulative years of menstrual cycling was not associated with pancreatic cancer risk in this study Total cumulative years of menstrual cy-cling accounting for OC use was not associated with pancreati ccancer risk and neither variable for years of menstrual cycling showed a dose–response relationship.

If you met staff members, please list their full names & positions. : i did not have specific meeting.
Please inform us if there are any follow up actions we need to talk with the members of the congress : No need to follow. UEG, or United European Gastroenterology, is a professional non-profit organisation combining all the leading European societies concerned with digestive health. UEG represent over 22,000 specialists, working across medicine, surgery, paediatrics, GI oncology and endoscopy. This makes UEG the most comprehensive organisation of its kind in the world, and a unique platform for collaboration and the exchange of knowledge. The UEG is dedicated to achieving its mission in an open, transparent and democratic manner according to the highest standards of ethics. Together with other Members of the Alliance for Biomedical Research in Europe, UEG has approved and adopted the Code of Conduct of healthcare professionals and scientific organisations. This Code sets out core principles for health care professional and scientific organisations to maintain and enhance professional independence, objectivity and scientific integrity. It guides all persons serving UEG in the development and implementation of UEG’s activities. UEG volunteers and senior employees sign a Declaration of Interest (DoI) to disclose any possible conflicts between their duties towards UEG and their private interests
Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : not specific , but spending time for visa getting and have not direct access for many transferring ( registration and booking hotel) are boring matter.
Please give a briefing of your own observations and outcomes of the congress: : Up to 13,300 delegates from 114 countries attended UEG Week Vienna, making this meeting another success. Five intensive days of scientific advances, updates and getting together of practitioners, top scientists and everyone invested in digestive health. With over 1300 who tuned in on UEG Week Live and participated from around the world, UEG Week Vienna truly lived up to its motto: advancing science - linking people. Günter J. Krejs received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Ernst J. Kuipers was awarded the distinguished UEG Research Prize 2016 for his future research in the field of prevention and detection of early GI cancer.
