There were several "Meet the Professor" Sessions offered in the morning. Meet the Professor Sessions provide participants with the opportunity to be updated about the topic of interest in a highly interactive manner. It will be valuable if we can manage this kind of activities in our national congress as well. |

ESPID 2017 have prepared an exciting programme with hot topics covering the entire field of paediatric infection-related diseases, and involving a large number of internationally renowned experts. The networking with experts’ from different backgrounds encourages new research ideas and facilitates the development of future multicentre projects. Therefore, ESPID provided this space to networking for both already established research networks as well as research newcomers to present their future projects. There were interesting plenary sessions in Dengue & Zika epidemics, evolutionary biology & microbiology, HIV cure for children and the latest in vaccine research & implementation. These sessions complemented by an exceptional schedule of symposia sessions in Group A Strep, Tuberculosis, congenital infections, infections in the oncology child, antimicrobial stewardship, vaccines, diagnosis through host response and many more... I have also extended my knowledge of the latest scientific developments in the pediatric fields. I talked with some main lecturers in different sessions and achieved some opportunities to update my knowledge in different field of viral pediatric infections. |
