1.Brief summary of Leave : |
Based on agreement between nursing and midwifery college affiliated to Tehran university of medical sciences and nursing international school of Hainan medical university, this trip was occurred.
September second accompany with my husband we had a flight to Haikou in Hainan province in China. In the airport Assistant of international affair with two students and a car driver, said to us welcome. They prepared some facilities for us in an apartment, that placed in the campus. In three days they arranged an orientation tour in campus and the time for shopping some our needs. In this time we have a meeting with Zhang Caihong , the dean of nursing international school and My Tutor Niu Kun from TCM college.
From September 7th my theoretical class was started and training course on 8th September start. Training takes place hospital in first affiliated to Hainan medical university by acupuncture, Moxabustion and cupping. I tried focused to learning about Meridians & Acupoints. This course takes place for 1/5 month. After that I started to learn about Massage therapy and acupressure. In this course I learned about Guasha and scraping. This course takes place for 1/5 month. every day at 8 oclock until 13 trainig takes place in hospital and again from 14:30 until 18 in the evening shift.
From first to third December I participate in the APIEM= Asian Pacific International Emergency medicine. In this congress I had a presentation about Triage nurse in emergency department in Iran.
In this trip I had a chance to have presentation about some topics like: EBNP in diabetic foot, qualitative research, infection control, educational system in Iran and history of traditional medicine in Iran. Indeed I had a chance to visit the skill lab of nursing school, clinical education for nursing student in the hospital and emergency department in TCM hospital in order to know about how nurses work in the ward based on TCM prescriptions. And in the end of my trip in 6th December I back home. |

2.List the objectives of your sabbatical leave as listed in your proposal and indicate how completely they were met : |
learning Yin Yang and the five elements theory by massage therapy.
learning Theory of viscera by Acupuncture and moxibustion
learning Essence, Qi blood and body fluid by Cupping, scraping
all of goals was achieved in theoretical class and training in the hospital. |

3.Acheivements(Publications,research,et.al.) : |
one of my achievement is: I got an idea to in order to use an application in nursing process. So I want apply it in one of thesis in master degree.
I found that some type of massage in useful in palliative care department or by pressing some acupoints for relieving the pain

The benefits of this sabbatical leave are
Learning about traditional medicine and application of it in nursing care
Relation between traditional and western medicine, in which patients, how and when we could use it .
The etiology, pathogenesis of TCM disease in Disorders of menstruation 、Dysmenorrheal
Health, prevention and cure in depression, stomachache 、PEM
all of goals that mentioned above was achieved in the theoretical class that teaches by Chinese teacher in english language but the training of acupuncture and moxa bustion take place in the hospital .
I learned about educational system in china.
Communication with professor and teachers in the university, lead to some interaction between us.
