The 29th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases was held in Amsterdam with more than 12,000 participants. Leaders and specialists from all disciplines in the fields of microbiology and infectious diseases were discussed the latest developments and hot topics. My eposter presentation about standardization and application of simple and low cost tetra primer ARMS-PCR for detection of TR34/L98H mutation in triazole resistant Aspergillus fumigatus was also at 15 April in Area 2. Also, I had the opportunity to meet Prof. Paul E. Verweij, Prof. Eric Dannaoui, and Prof. Jacques Meis to discuss methods, results and the impact on clinical and laboratory practice. In the Trainee Association of ESCMID (TAE) day, young professionals had the opportunity to discuss their ideas and projects with renowned experts in meet-the-expert sessions and during round table discussions. |
