World Congress of Gastroenterology aim was to promote, to the general public and healthcare professionals alike, an awareness of the worldwide prevalence and optimal care of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, and to improve the care of these disorders, through the provision of high quality, accessible and independent education and training. The World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) has a long history of serving the developing world and low-resource areas. We are a federation of over 100 Member Societies of gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy, and other related disciplines, representing over 50,000 individuals worldwide. The World Congress of Gastroenterology 2019 (WCOG 2019) was held at the Istanbul Congress Center with the participation of over 2,000 people from 95 countries, according to Serhat Bor, the head of the Turkish Society of Gastroenterology. The congress -- co-organized by the Turkish Society of Gastroenterology and the World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO) -- was held in Turkey for the first time between Sept. 21-24.Over 30 symposiums and special events were held during the Istanbul congress. The most useful part of the congress was motility workshop . in comparison with Digestive Disease week , the congress has no enough nobility in the subjects and Technics but had enough sweet and peaceful atmosphere for gathering of the scientists of the region . |
