Abstract(Please copy/paste the abstract send to the congress) : Introduction: Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) is a tick-borne viral hemorrhagic fever disease. During the transmission cycle of the disease, ticks play both vector and reservoir roles for the CCHF virus (CCHFV). CCHF is an endemic disease in different provinces within Iran. Materials and Methods: This study describes CCHFV in Ghaemshahr county of Mazandaran Province, a province in the northern part of Iran.By using an ELISA method, IgG antibodies against CCHFV were detected in 4 (4.8%) of 84 sheep sera samples collected from 4 villages. Results: Forty sera were obtained from human in contact with the examined sheep, none of which had IgG antibodies against CCHFV. Molecular analysis on the ticks by RT-PCR detected the CCHFV genome in 1.7% of hard tick samples.Sequence analysis demonstrated that the CCHFV genomes isolated from ticks were 100% identical to those isolated from corresponding livestock. Conclusion: This study confirms the circulation patterns of the virus in this region, so people in close contact with livestock and health care workers should be alerted.

What were the responses to your talking points? Were specific questions or concerns raised? : The 67th Annual Conference of the German Society of Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) was held on the dates from 27 to 30of September. I participated and presented my research in this conference in a poster. The title was “SEROLOGICAL AND MOLECULAR EPIDEMIOLOGY OF CRIMEAN-CONGO HEMORRHAGIC FEVER IN GHAEMSHAHR COUNTY IN THE MAZANDARAN PROVINCE OF IRAN”. The participants showed interest to my work and I found the chance to introduce the research I do to some of them in the proster presentation day. Some people asked me about vector borne disease and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus in Iran.
If you met staff members, please list their full names & positions. : no
Please inform us if there are any follow up actions we need to talk with the members of the congress : Another point that should be taken into account about this conference is the discipline in holding the congress. One could say that despite the huge number of attendants and speakers, a very fine discipline and order was kept in the speeches which were held in well-equipped halls. The posters were also presented in a certain discipline and the places considered for them were proper and visible to the people in a way that one could just see all the works and it was impossible to miss any of it. The conference program was notified to the attendants in a well manner and generally I could say that it was a high quality conference in which the latest progresses in infectious diseases were presented and the discipline from which Germany is famous for could be felt all over this conference.
Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : There was some difficulties about
, hotel reservation and registration fee payment
Please give a briefing of your own observations and outcomes of the congress: : The microbiology conference in which more than 1500 scientists from almost all of the European countries and some of the Asian, African, American, countries participated took place in Munster, Germany. Münster is an independent city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is in the northern part of the state and is considered to be the cultural centre of the Westphalia region. It is also capital of the local government region Münsterland. The conference was held in the congress center of Münster.

The methods used in the presented papers were all modern methods using sophisticated new technologies. The presenters presented their work in the best way possible and I found the opportunity to get to know some new and modern approaches. Most of the methods were in the field of diagnosis of infectious diseases. One of the most important aspects of this congress was the participation of well-known scientists in the technical fields. Moreover, a huge number of credible companies which produce kits and laboratory instruments. These companies introduced their latest products such as their latest diagnostic kits and modern laboratory instruments to the scientists that participated in this conference.
