COURSE TITLE
|
-
Theoretical and Practical Training in MRI
An Intermediate Course on MR Physics for Technologists and Radiologists
|
|
|
COURSE DESCRIPTION
|
-
In this course, fundamentals of basic contrast mechanisms and image formation are explained, followed by fast Fourier imaging techniques and related artifacts (used in daily MR clinic).
-
After completion of this 4-day intensive training program, the attendees would be able to:
-
Understand basics of signal detection, contrast generation and image formation in MRI,
-
Understand available state-of-the-art fast Fourier imaging techniques, their artifacts and associated remedies for daily use of MRI in clinics,
-
Understand imaging artifacts, and remedies to reduce them in MRI,
-
Understand non-Fourier acquisitions as fast and robust imaging techniques in MRI, and
-
Understand practical pulse sequences and their applications in clinics.
-
Course Outline:
-
Introduction to the course and the topics
-
Quick overview of signal formation, contrast mechanisms and image formation in MRI
-
Quick overview of Spin-Echo and Gradient-Echo imaging
-
