Program Description
This International Summer Course in TUMS will provide a unique forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest knowledge and research on issues of violence in healthcare system. The program considers how violence is understood and conceptualized internationally and within eastern society. You begin by defining and contextualizing what is meant by violence. You examine the main theories explaining violence and its production through interlocking health system. A summer in TUMS isn’t just about your studies – it’s about being inspired, challenged and grown as a person. To Identify institutional, environmental, and policy risk factors for workplace violence

To Take steps to implement a comprehensive workplace violence prevention program
Method of Instruction
The two-day course will feature didactic lectures, and interactive and group discussions. Practice sections are often held in smaller groups, which work well with cooperative learning. Throughout the course, students will work toward building a perspective on violence in healthcare practices.

Visa Application
TUMS will assist you in obtaining your visa after you are admitted. All international students are required to obtain a student visa from the Iranian Consulate/Embassy in their home country before departing for Iran. After we receive your completed Visa Application Form (VAF), at least 6 to 8 weeks should be allowed for the completion of the visa application. Student will enter Iran with a one-month visa. After visiting their school and familiarizing themselves with the schedule and surroundings, students will be accompanied to the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology in order to extend their student visa (if necessary).

If you require accommodation, you will be given the opportunity to use our international dormitories located close to campus in Tehran at student rate.
