My presentation was of interest to audiences. Several of them and also chair of the session asked me questions which I provided them proper answeres.Also after meeting the chair of the session mentioned that my work is very much of his interest and for several minuites we discussed and exchanged scientific issues and future scope. My talk was categorized in the Track of Functional Foods and Bioactive Compounds which is currently under great interest and intensive research work. |

International Congress of Nutrition(ICN) is one of the most important and well known event in the field of Nutrition.This congress is being held every four years, although there is effort and support to make this interval shorter.The most important organizatiion that support,plan and organize this congress is International Union of Nutrition Sciences(IUNS)whose current president is professor Ebrahim Elmadfa from Austria who has been a collaborator in World Bank Project for Nutrition Sciences Capacity Building in Iran in which I was a member as well. This union composed of numerous members of World Countries Nutrition Unions that play as adhering bodies in different regions of the world.Fortunately Islamic Republic of Iran also is one of the adhering bodies and a member.In the past,both develpoed countries such as Canada,Australia, Ausria, United Kingdom and developing countries such as Brazil, Thailand and South Africa have hold these Congress.Then Why not Iran. I believe by establishment of proper communication with International Union of Nutrition Sciences(IUNS) by Tehran University of Medical Sciences Vice Chancellor of International Affairs through School of Nutrition Sciences and Dietetics and Iranian Nutrition Society(ATA) and allocation of required fund is possible that Iran becomes one of the candidates for holding the International congress of Nurition In Iran in future.This will bring about good international scientific relationship and supremacy in Nutrition Sciences leadership and Prestige and also create Scientific Tourism and generation of currency for nation as well. |

Your experiences about the travel processes(Providing ticket, accommodation,...) : |
Travel expenses is very high because of dramatic rise in currency rate and inflation. This is while the University policy for funding and subsidizing these kind of trips remained unchanged and does not address the expenses at all. These days purchase of ticket flights and reservation of hotels absouletely requires the credit cards which at the moment because of its lack ,too many problems and complications are created. |

The 20th International Congress of Nutrition was held September 15-20 ,2013 in Granada ,Spain. Attendance in this congress had very interesting impact on me both scientifically and culturally. Congress was very well planned and schedualed. It was held in huge Congress center and Palace for International and national cogresses in Granada. Attendane of more than 4000 delegates from more than 120 world countries highlighted this congregation. Many world well known scientists in nutrition sciences and associated and related fields were attended and presented very useful and important presentations and talks.One of the iinnovationn of this congress was the administration and utilization of e-poster presentation. They applied and utilized required number of electronic screens, and all posters were uploaded. Therefore there was no need for carrying and mounting the posters. By applying the code of any poster you could observe the intended poster.Topics in Advances in Nutrition Research(Nutrigenetics, Nutrigenomics and personalized Nutrirtion, Epigenetics and Early Programming, New advavaces in Experimental Nutrition, Biomarkers in Nutrition and Experimental approaches in Clinical Nutrition),Nutrition Through Life Course( NUtrition in Pregnancy, Infancy,and Childhood,Nutrition and Adolescence,Nutrition and Elderly, Exercise and Nutrition),Public Health Nutrition and Environment( Epidemiology, Healthy Life Style Promotion, Physical Activity, Nutrition Policies, Guidelines and Envirionmental Sustainability), Nutrition and Management of Disease(Obesity, Diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, malnurition and other inflammatory diseases),Nutrient and Nutritional Assessments(Body composition ,Growth and Development, Macronutrients, Micronutrients, International Data Base Food Composition, Nutritional Assessment Methods), Functional Foods and Bioactive Compounds (Prebiotics,probiotics and Synbiotics),Food Culture Practices and Nutritional Education(Joining cultures through Mediterranean Diet, Nutrition Transition, Nutrition Health and wellness, improving indigenous and cultural Foods,Changing Dietary patterns),Agriculure ,Food Science and Safety(Agrodiversity and Econutrition, Food Composition and Labelling, Food safety, Nutrition and wellness, Nutrition and Environmental Sustainability and Nutitional Claims) were some of important issues that were discussed and were given important symposiums, key and plenary lectures , forums , round tables and workshops. For me, no doubt ,that it was a privilege that I had chance to attend this prestigeous congress of the world and presented my work orally.Paricipation in the congress augmented my Knowledge and refreshed me scientifically and culturally. Nice to mention that the attendance had culural impact as well ,because the congress was held in Andalusia region of Spain where bear the enxtensive influence of islamic culture and heritage. |
