Abstract
Background and purpose: Standardized patients, people who are prepared to act as patient as if they are factual and proven performance.
Methods: BEME systematic review approach was used in the current study. Databases, searched In this study includes Scopus - Medline-Cinahl - Web of science, Eric - Cochrane - Jama – Ebsco. According to the study protocol based on the inclusion criteria some articles were included relay on the check list. Check list was Developed based on the BEME coding sheet plus study objectives and Educational intervention and QUESTS certain criteria.
Results 42 Articles entered into the study, all articles were searched by using electronic search. According to the Check list design , types of communication skills that have been included in this study were in different domains of Communication skill such as seven studies focused on doctors and patients communicate , two Articles were regarding to start the discussion with the patient, seven articles focused on listening skills , 16 articles were related to verbal communication skill with the patient, 18 articles focused on patient, others were related to nonverbal communication , such as body movements , eye contact , etc.
Conclusions: Standardized patients have been considered as a teaching method and assessment practices of health Professions communication skill in recent years. Few studies in this area, systematically assess the quality of the paper, which was published particularly in the BEME field and it shows the need of doing more research in the field of communication skill and published them. |
