Program Objectives
This course is suitable for clinicians who are interested in practical dentistry. The program aims to promote practical and academic skills of students. In addition, it will prepare an opportunity to improve their skills in following:

How to take a complete history before the surgery

How to manage preparation patient’s stress

How to make appropriate flaps for impacted wisdom teeth surgery

How to manage different types of wisdom teeth impaction

How to manage the complications before, during and after the surgery
-
How to suture the operation site to reduce postoperative periodontal problems

Communication and dental examination skills regarding the elderly

Discussing the histological appearance of specific pathological entities

Recognizing the clinical and/or radiographic manifestations of pathological conditions affecting the oral cavity

Distinguishing between different types of tooth discolorations

Describing various types of bleaching treatment planning

Describing various types of bleaching materials and methods

Management of tooth hypersensivity during or after tooth bleaching

Providing safety issues about tooth bleaching materials
-
How to manage CL and preparation for restorative treatment

Know the advantages of using digital orthodontics

Be familiar with 3D oral scanning and 3D printers

Be able to work with the Dolphin Software

Dental students at their last two years of BDS or DDS program
How To Apply
All applicants should apply online. Please note there is no in-person admission. You can fill in the Online Application Form and upload all the required documents. For more information on online application procedure please contact admission@tums.ac.ir
Visa Application
TUMS will assist you in obtaining your visa after you are admitted. All international students are required to obtain a student visa from the Iranian Consulate/Embassy in their home country before departing for Iran. After we receive your completed Visa Application Form (VAF), at least 6 to 8 weeks should be allowed for the completion of the visa application. Student will enter Iran with a one-month visa. After visiting their school and familiarizing themselves with the schedule and surroundings, students will be accompanied to the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology in order to extend their student visa (if necessary).
Accommodation
If you require accommodation, you will be given the opportunity to use our international dormitories located close to campus in Tehran at student rate.
