Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) is accredited with premier status by the Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC).
ASIC is recognized by the United Kingdom Department for Education and Skills (DfES), the United Kingdom Department for Universities, Innovation and Skills (DUIS), the United Kingdom Border and Immigration Agency (Home Office), and the United Kingdom Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted).
ASIC is a member of Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) International Quality Group (CIQG).
All educational programs offered at TUMS and its affiliated institutions and hospitals have been approved by the governmental, academic, and professional bodies that have credibility and responsibility in the respective areas.
TUMS is committed to the highest standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in pursuit of its mission of education, research, patient care, and public service. The TUMS Accreditation Commission was founded in 2011. The Commission is an alternative accreditation model developed by the Office of Vice President for International Affairs to ensure high criteria and excellence in performance in teaching, learning, health, and patient care.
TUMS' focus today is to become the first Iranian medical university to be accredited by prestigious world accreditation organizations. Meanwhile, TUMS, as the strongest university of medical sciences in Iran, is committed to help other Iranian institutions of higher education in medical fields. TUMS is dedicated to helping other medical universities articulate their goals, devise plans, and develop information that is valuable to the pursuit of their goals.
