Program Description

This program will provide a unique forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest knowledge and research on community health nursing.

Because community health depends on the health service by trained personnel, the basic concepts will be discussed in this course.

The aim is to transfer the knowledge and information on public health and its principles to students in order to apply the principles of primary health care in the form of evidence-based nursing and nursing process and appropriate measures to solve public health problems.

In addition family health nursing which is family focused issues of health will be discussed respectively.

Program Objectives
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

Compare levels of prevention and related strategies.

Analyze primary health care.

Compare theories and models to improve health.

Understand health economics and the role of nurses.

Analyze strategies for group dynamics.

Analyze community health nurses role in vulnerable groups.

Analyze determinants of health (biological, socio-cultural, etc.).

Explain the health service system.

Explain the principles of community health needs assessment.

Explain vaccination and essential care.

Be familiar with school health nurse

Understand the importance of the nurse's role in maintaining and promoting children health and development

Explain effective factors related to family health, Family developmental function

Explain nursing process of family and home visit

Analyze crisis in family, abuse in family and vulnerable families
Method of Instruction

The two-day course will feature didactic lectures along with interactive and group discussions.
-
Practice sections are often held in smaller groups which work well with cooperative learning in the real clinical field.

Visa Application
-
TUMS will assist you in obtaining your visa after you are admitted. All international students are required to obtain a student visa from the Iranian Consulate/Embassy in their home country before departing for Iran. After we receive your completed Visa Application Form (VAF), at least 6 to 8 weeks should be allowed for the completion of the visa application.Student will enter Iran with a one-month visa. After visiting their school and familiarizing themselves with the schedule and surroundings, students will be accompanied to the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology in order to extend their student visa (if necessary).
