The PSRC has designed a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences which is “research and supervisor based.” After passing a one year M. Phill successful candidates will start their Ph.D. courses that will last 3 years. Courses in both stages are based on research methods in the field of pharmaceutical sciences depending on the mentor’s main interests. The PSRC represents Ph.D. in two main lines:
1. Synthesis and biological effects of new compounds
Professors Abbas Shafiee and Alireza Foroumadi
2. Mechanisms of action and toxicity of novel products
Professor Mohammad Abdollahi
For more information and a complete CV of mentors please check the website http://psrc.tums.ac.ir. If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact the assigned professor.
PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES RESEARCH CENTER (PSRC)
Introduction
The PSRC of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) was established in mid 2003. The PSRC tries to spread interest in research among students to recruit and support researchers at all academic levels. In order to conduct both fundamental and applied (practical) research in different fields of pharmaceutical sciences, and to promote research methods and training.
