These indicators are observed by ASIC, the accreditation body, to evaluate Tehran University of Medical Sciences as a higher education institution. These indicators are related to different sections of Educational Affairs, Research Affairs, Student Affairs, International Students and Management Development and Resource planning sections.
Therefore all the activities and processes that are done for instance in the Educational field of university is evaluated by accreditation. Some of these activities (indicators) are student recruitments, registration, course registration, class attendance, holding examinations, documenting and recycling student information, credits and course outline, plagiarism, admission and scholarship committees, warning letters to students.
Secretariat of International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Network is consisted of five different areas of operation, and is responsible for developing policies and programming for quality assurance activities and international accreditation.
It should be said that Tehran University of Medical Sciences has been accredited by ASIC in 2013 and received the international accreditation license (Premier).
