According to the office of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Secretariat of International Accreditation of Iranian Medical Universities reached an agreement with ASIC on how to verify legal documents of universities such as ownership documents of university campuses and legal or health certificates.
In accordance with this agreement, because of the sheer volume of these documents and requirements which have legal translations, it was supposed that the evaluators of Secretariat which are approved by ASIC, do the review process and compliance with regulations based on ASIC standards and then officially declare the necessary approvals to ASIC.
In this agreement, there is no need to translate legal documents and they should only be submitted to the evaluators of Secretariat in Farsi at the time of assessment. It should be noted that the agreement will be supported only on legal documents and training documentation such as course descriptions, educational calendar, classroom and educational programs and other similar cases in education are not included.
It is necessary to mention that providing documentation during assessment is one of the most important processes that the external evaluators will monitor it and Universities which are volunteer on accreditation process require to provide documents to show compliance with accreditation standards.
