Holding the First Accreditation Meeting of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences on Completing the ASIC Application form at the Secretariat of International Accreditation of Iranian Medical Universities

In this meeting Dr. Giti Karimkhanluee, the Director of International Affairs and Fereshteh Shahriari, the Officer of International Affairs from Zanjan University of Medical Sciences talked to Sepideh Javedanfard, the Accreditation Officer of the Secretariat of International Accreditation of Iranian Medical Universities on October 25^th, 2017.

 First, Javedanfard explained about the procedure of international accreditation at Iranian universities and the importance of performing the steps respectively by Zanjan University of Medical Sciences and following the procedure up to the end of accreditation of the target university.

Following the meeting, the guests asked some questions regarding documentation and description of some indicators that were answered by the officer of the Secretariat. Furthermore, regarding the translation of documents Javedanfard added that there is no need for translation of those documents with legal nature including the university ownership document, the University certificate of self-service hygiene and insurance documents in English. However, the translation of educational calendar, students’ attendance list, instruction, rules and regulations are necessary.

Moreover, some ambiguities were removed through the phone call with another correspondent from Zanjan University of Medical Sciences.

Finally, Javedanfard asserted that the secretariat is ready to give the necessary consultation and guidance to the related university in all steps for international accreditation.
