
Department of Occupational Medicine was established in 1994 under organizational support of the Faculty of Medicine – Tehran University of Medical Sciences. As the first and the largest department of Occupational Medicine in Iran, this department utilizes the most advanced and up to date facilities in its multiple centers.

Three libraries located in the Department and Baharloo Hospital can provide a broad range of occupational and sleep medicine books and sources for students and professionals alike.
Two research centers including Center for Research on Occupational Diseases (CROD) and Occupational Sleep Research Center (OSRC) facilitate most research in Department of Occupational Medicine.
Journal of Sleep Sciences (JSS) is the official scientific quarterly publication affiliated with Occupational Sleep Research Center (OSRC), with the main goal of improving the knowledge and awareness of clinicians and research professionals of the latest findings in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and etiology of sleep disorders.
