Urology is a surgical specialty pertinent to disorders of male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. A wide variety of clinical problems are dealt with in urology and in addition to surgical skills, knowledge of internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology etc. is also required.
Introduction
The Department of Urology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences provides a complete range of urologic sub-specialties including urologic oncology, reconstructive urology, pediatric urology, endourology, and andrology and kidney transplantation. For over 70 years, our team, consisting 25 of part-time and full-time faculty, post-graduate residents and fellows have been committed to providing exceptional, personalized patient care. Urology specialists at Tehran University of Medical Sciences have founded many improvements in the treatment of various urological disorders. Our internationally acclaimed urologists are also involved in various innovative basic and clinical research programs.
