Department of Family Medicine was established in 2015 in the School of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. As the largest department of Family Medicine in Iran, it is committed to provide excellent training to medical students and residents. The Department of Family Medicine conducts different educational and research programs in various fields of Health related issues and prepares future generations of family physicians.
Residency Program
The Family Medicine Residency Program is a three-year medical specialty program accredited by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in Iran. The Residency Program is training qualified GPs who have passed the National Residency Entrance Examination that is held annually. It consist of different major and minor clinical ward rotations and patient visits outpatient Family Physicians Clinics.
